Since its running for more than three years, the STAR Market has brought together more than 480 listed companies. It has become the first choice for enterprises with "key and core technology" to go public, and the main gathering place for the listing of specialized, refinement, differential and innovation (SRDI) enterprises since the introduction of the registration system.

At present, the SSE has completed various preparatory work and is ready to launch the stock market-making trading business of the STAR Market.

On April 12, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “SSIC”) issued an announcement, saying that in order to better serve the development of the capital market and meet the diversified investment needs of the market, it has decided to revise the compilation plan of CNI cross-market index after seeking the opinions of market participants. The SSE STAR market securities that have been listed for over a year will be included into the index constituent selection pool while the other rules remain unchanged.

In all, 428 companies have listed on the STAR Market so far, with their combined market cap exceeding 5.1 trillion yuan ($757 billion).

The number of listed companies on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, or STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, has exceeded 400 with increasing global attractiveness, Securities Times reported on Mar.22.
